We are all a collection of stories, the stories of our lives are filled with triumph, heartbreak and moments that change us forever. As a celebrant, I get to step into some of life's most meaningful moments and tell the unique story of individuals, couples, and families and I consider it a privilege to play a small part in such important chapters.

I have been happily married for over thirty years and have raised five incredible children, each of whom has taught me about love. I have experienced some of life's greatest joys and remain at heart, a hopeless romantic who believes in the power of connection, commitment, and love. At the same time, I carry my own experience of profound grief which has taught me many lessons but also given me a deep appreciation of how important it is to honour life's pivotal moments with sincerity, compassion, and care.

The best ceremonies, in my experience, reflect the full richness of life: the tears, laughter, solemnity, joy and shared memories and I endeavour to bring that to my clients. For me, being a celebrant is about listening carefully, understanding deeply, and creating ceremonies that feel authentic and meaningful. It is a genuine privilege to be invited into those stories and mark the moments that matter most.

Ellen Wood... Deborah was recommended to us as a celebrant for our grandmother's funeral and I am so glad we entrusted her with the role. Deborah spent a lot of time with us, listening to the stories of our grandma's life and despite what had been a challenging and at times difficult life, Deborah managed to create a service that really celebrated the joys whilst also acknowledging grandma's strength. We were particularly touched that Deborah was able to incorporate grandma's devotion to her cats as part of the service when she reflected on the nine ages of grandma's life so beautifully. Deborah has a depth of understanding and empathy surrounding grief and we were grateful for her warm, reassuring and comforting approach. We will always be thankful for the way we were able to honour our grandma's life and cannot recommend Deborah highly enough.

Hamish and Poppy... We invited Deborah to conduct the naming ceremony for our son and she did far more than that! Deborah helped us create the most perfect celebration with all our loved ones in our favourite place. She really took the time to understand our hopes for the day, she advised us of the ceremonial stories and traditions she could share and pulled in parts of our lives to make the moment truly special. The ceremony Deborah shared will stay with us forever. She made us all laugh and cry and held a space for us to pause and celebrate something truly special. We will be forever grateful x
